Dr. Joseph McCormick: Reflecting on the Rewards of Our Profession

Dr. Joseph McCormick

During more than 37 years in private practice, the orthodontic profession has been very rewarding to my family and me. My daughter Michaela graduated from the orthodontic residency program at Penn a number of years ago and has assumed management and control of my orthodontic practice.

The profession has allowed us the opportunity to change peoples' lives not only cosmetically but also through their overall dental health and self-image.

A few years ago, Doctors Bob Bray and Tony Quinn asked me to consider the Keystone Society. I've always highly valued the research and education our profession has provided, and recently changed my will and directed my estate to make a $25,000 contribution to the AAOF upon my death, this is in addition to the previous $25, 000 Regent contribution already made to the AAOF.

I also have previously contributed over $100,000 to my alma mater, Temple University Orthodontic Department to partially help rebuild the clinic.

In conclusion, I've been very blessed with a great career opportunity and am very grateful. I would ask all orthodontists to consider supporting the AAOF to help maintain the already superior educational standards our profession has developed.

Sincerely,
Dr. Joseph McCormick
